Welcome to UsedCarDealersVancouver.com, an independent online directory designed to help consumers discover used car dealerships serving Vancouver, British Columbia, and surrounding Metro Vancouver communities.

These Terms of Service govern access to our website, use of dealership information, submission of business listings, and participation in paid advertising services.

By accessing or using our website, visitors agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Businesses purchasing advertising services also agree to the applicable commercial terms disclosed before enrollment.

2. Nature of Our Directory

UsedCarDealersVancouver.com operates as an independent information and advertising directory.

We are not a motor vehicle dealership, vehicle salesperson, vehicle broker, lender, insurer, mechanical inspection company, or warranty provider.

We do not directly:

Buy or sell motor vehicles
Arrange vehicle financing or leasing
Accept vehicle deposits
Inspect or certify vehicles
Guarantee vehicle condition
Negotiate vehicle sales
Provide insurance or warranties

5. Dealership Eligibility and Licensing

Businesses applying for dealership listings must comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.

Where required, participating motor dealers must hold a valid licence issued by the Vehicle Sales Authority of British Columbia (VSA).

Dealerships are responsible for maintaining applicable licences, authorizations, insurance, and other legal requirements.

We may request reasonable verification of business identity and licensing information.

However, directory inclusion does not mean that we have independently verified every dealership's credentials.

6. Paid Advertising and Featured Listings

UsedCarDealersVancouver.com may offer paid advertising opportunities to eligible dealerships.

Depending on the package, features may include:

Dealership photographs
Vehicle category descriptions
Service area information
Featured directory placements
Sponsored promotional opportunities

Advertising fees, applicable taxes, subscription periods, and included services will be disclosed before enrollment.

Advertising does not guarantee customer inquiries, vehicle sales, website traffic, financing applications, or revenue.

7. Advertising Subscription Renewals

Paid advertising subscriptions may automatically renew only when the advertiser has expressly authorized recurring billing.

The billing frequency, renewal price, cancellation procedure, and applicable conditions will be disclosed before enrollment.

Advertisers may cancel future renewals at any time without cancellation penalties.

Material subscription price changes will be communicated in advance, and additional consent will be obtained where legally required.

8. Cancellation Policy

Advertisers may request cancellation of their directory advertising subscriptions at any time.

There are no cancellation penalties.

Advertisers may request immediate removal of their listing or allow it to remain published until the end of the prepaid advertising period.

Cancellation of future billing does not automatically reverse charges for services already delivered.

Requests will be handled within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Fair Prorated Refund Policy

We aim to provide transparent and advertiser-friendly refund arrangements.

For standard prepaid directory listing subscriptions:

Before Publication: Advertisers are eligible for a full refund if no advertising services have been delivered.

Within Seven Calendar Days of Publication: Advertisers may request a prorated refund for the unused portion of the subscription.

After Seven Calendar Days: Advertisers may request a prorated refund for unused full calendar days remaining in the prepaid subscription period.

Refunds will be calculated according to the unused portion of the agreed subscription term.

Separately priced custom promotional services already completed may be excluded where disclosed in advance and legally permitted.

Approved refunds will normally be processed within 15 calendar days.

Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

Important: This refund policy applies to our directory advertising services, not to vehicles purchased from independent dealerships.

10. Accuracy of Dealership Information

Participating dealerships are responsible for providing accurate and current information, including:

Legal business name
Dealership address
Telephone number
Website address
Business email
VSA dealer licence information where applicable
Business hours
Vehicle categories
Service descriptions
Financing representations
Dealership photographs

We may request corrections or remove materially inaccurate information.

11. Vehicle Listings and Inventory Information

Where vehicle listings are displayed, participating dealerships are responsible for the accuracy of information supplied.

This may include:

Vehicle make and model
Model year
Mileage
Vehicle identification number or stock number
Asking price
Vehicle condition
Accident and damage disclosures
Vehicle availability
Warranty information
Financing representations

Dealerships must promptly update or remove listings when vehicles are sold or no longer available.

We do not independently inspect vehicles or guarantee the accuracy of dealer-supplied information.

12. Vehicle Advertising and Pricing Compliance

Participating dealerships must comply with applicable British Columbia vehicle advertising requirements.

Advertised prices must be accurate, clear, and consistent with the relevant legal requirements.

Where applicable, mandatory dealer fees and charges must be included in the advertised total price, subject to legally permitted exclusions and separately disclosed charges.

Dealerships must not use misleading pricing, undisclosed mandatory fees, or deceptive promotional claims.

Where a vehicle is advertised with different cash and financing prices, applicable disclosure requirements must be followed.

Advertisers are responsible for ensuring that vehicle advertisements comply with VSA requirements and relevant consumer protection legislation.

13. Vehicle History and Disclosure Requirements

Dealerships are responsible for making all vehicle disclosures required by law.

Depending on the circumstances, these may concern:

Previous accident damage
Vehicle branding
Odometer accuracy
Previous registration jurisdictions
Prior commercial or specialized use
Material vehicle defects
Other legally required information

Consumers should independently review relevant vehicle history reports and request supporting documentation.

UsedCarDealersVancouver.com does not certify vehicle histories or guarantee the completeness of reports supplied by third parties.

14. Independent Mechanical Inspections

We encourage consumers to consider obtaining an independent pre-purchase mechanical inspection.

A vehicle history report does not replace a professional inspection.

We do not perform mechanical inspections or guarantee vehicle roadworthiness.

15. Vehicle Financing and Leasing

21. Prohibited Advertising Practices

Advertisers must not submit content containing:

False dealership identities
Misleading licensing claims
Fabricated testimonials
Deceptive vehicle prices
Undisclosed mandatory fees
